Memorial Day 2014

We headed back to Rim Rock Trail this year for Memorial Day.  It is at the Kinzua Dam.  We had such a good time last year we decided to make it an annual event.  Lucky for us cousins got to come this time around.  Are we not the coolest people you know!?

We hiked.
We caught a frog.
A butterfly stayed on my toe for 20 minutes.
We talked.
We laughed.
We climbed rocks with cousins.
We ate lunch.
We swam.
We chased giant balls and snakes.  Really what is it with snakes in PA?
We ate some more.
We relaxed.
We played football and frisbee.
We came home tired and full from a great day filled with all good things!  Just the type of days we love.

Who's Had a BIRTHDAY!?!?!

SHOUT HORRAY!

Thomas Andrew is officialy 6.  WHAT?!!
The actual day of his birthday was a crazy one.
Big D and Thomas went on an overnight campout with the scouts and came home bright and early.  Thomas had his last soccer game of the season.  He was on fire and so pumped up the whole game!  This kid is so determined and intense.  Man we love him!
We had a ward pic-nic.  Played and played and PLAYED with friends and ate a little too!
We attended a baptism of a dear friend.  Always a special occasion.
We had dinner at Golden Corral.  Something T has been dreaming of for months.  It lived up to all of it's glory.  Steak and cheese sauce on everything!  Cotton candy and a chocolate fountain!  Man that is the place of little boys dreams!
Then the birthday boy got to finally go to BUILD-A-BEAR!  Something his little heart has wanted for some time!  He decided to let his brother share in on the festivities!  So fun.  T got a black bear dressed as ironman and named him JAMES.  His go to name.  L got a monkey dressed as captain america and named him JACK.  His go to name.  We have a lot of things in our house named James and Jack.
We actually didn't have cake until the next night because we came home so exhausted after our long day.  It didn't disappoint and the boys ended that night playing some sandlot I mean baseball.  They are so silly.

Dear Thomas.
WE LOVE YOU MORE EVERYDAY.
You are so sweet and often think of others.
You are so determined.
You are a perfectionist.
You are strong willed.
You are an artist!
You love doing and being busy.
You love to laugh and make others laugh.  You are totally into flexing and saying things like "Hey ladies."  The sister missionaries can't look at you the same!
You are a rule follower.
You don't back down.  Much to my dismay.
WE love that you are ours and that you came to us this way.
Continue to Lead and Seek for truth and goodness in this life!
