I am so excited about this. I love FLOWERS so much and I finally am growing some of my own. My sister in law Sara told me about these amazing Jiffy green houses that are so so easy. Trust me if I can do it...anyone can do it. You can keep them in your house until you want to transplant them. I can't believe how fast the flowers popped up with really no work at all in only a few days. I planted dahlias, daisies, hollyhocks, zinnias, and of course tomatoes. This is the first time I have planted anything on my own (don't get me wrong I grew up weeding my parents garden every summer... "15 minutes a day keeps the weeds away") and I hopefully will learn a lot and get some beautiful flowers and delicious tomatoes out of it!

Money Money Money... Money
Thomas loves to go through my purse and pull everything out and then do it all over again. There is usually nothing in there that isn't his anyways and so I just let him play in it. The other day we caught him with something and it was all crumbled up in his hand so we weren't sure what it was but he was making a very mischievous face so we knew something was up......

We got him to finally show us what it was....

Here is to the first of many many times I am sure that he will be asking for money or perhaps just borrowing it! Daniel remembers going into the coat closet, looking through the jackets that his dad wore that day, to get change so he could ride his bike to the store and get a 44 with his friends. Man I wish I had been that smart!

Little Monkey
Easter
Thomas in his new Easter outfit... He looked very handsome even if it is hard to keep a wild man like himself looking "put together" for a whole day. Aunt Hanna was helping him look for eggs with his cute basket that I remember using when I was a little girl. OH the memories!
The Packers representing at Brady's famous Easter Egg Hunt. I was ready to run and I guess Daniel didn't want to be missed. Thanks Brady for all your hard work we had so much fun.
Thomas after the hunt was all over had more fun playing in the eggs then he did finding them.
Thomas and I getting ready for Grandpa Packer's hunt. It was cold and there was a lot of good competition there. Thanks Grandpa for always keeping us laughing (hiding the banana's) and always putting on a good hunt.
We celebrated Easter over a few weekends and neither weekend had fabulous weather, but that wasn't going to get us down. We had great food at both "EASTERS" and amazing company! Thomas really didn't care too much about the eggs but he has loved the candy that he finds inside! We were grateful for this time of year to think about our Savior and all that he has done for us. We are grateful for our families and for the opportunity to be so close to them. We are very grateful to be members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and know that we have a Heavenly Father that loves us and is watching over us. We are grateful for the "guardian angels" that are in our lives that bless us daily! We are especially grateful for one another and for the opportunity to be an eternal family. We know that we live very simple lives but are being truly blessed daily and for this we are grateful.

I just found this amazing lady tonight on Etsy. I seriously LOVE everything about her pottery. The colors, the flowers, the design, did I mention the colors!!! This is just a sample of what she can do. Her name is Whitney Smith and you should definitely check her out here.

NAVE
On Wednesday April 1, Evan (NAVE... Evan spelled backwards) officially entered the MTC in Provo, Utah to prepare for serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Mozambique, Maputo mission. For those of you who are like me and didn't know where that was it is in AFRICA which means it is so far away.
Daniel, Thomas and I weren't able to go to the MTC to say goodbye but we heard that he hugged everyone said I LOVE YOU and was the first one of the Elders to get in line. He was so excited and had a huge grin on his face. We are so proud of him and we LOVE him and will miss him so much. He has prepared for this time his whole life and will be a very good missionary. We are excited to hear about all of his experiences and can't wait to get the first letter.
FAV FIVE
Tonight I thought I would list a few of my favorite things (as of right now)
1. hydrangeas.... I LOVE them. I am so excited for spring (unfortunately in Rexburg it takes so long that we skip right to summer) but I can't wait for FLOWERS. I have always liked tons of flowers but these are a new FAV.
2. OLAY gentle foaming face wash and gentle moisturizer... I can't lie I haven't ever had perfect skin but I can't complain too much....until I got pregnant with the babe and it was embarrassing. I have been experimenting with a few washes to find one to get my skin back to normal... And OLAY is the winner. I LOVE IT. I accidentally left it with my sister for a night earlier this week and I almost went crazy.
3. FRIENDS... the TV show is a new obsession of mine. It is so funny I laugh out loud all of the time. I know this is totally embarrassing but I have gotten so attached that I cry with them on the show....
4. CO BIGELOW cinnamint mentha lip shine... It isn't goopy. It feels healthy and helps smooth chapped lips (that are never ending in our dry climate) It smells so so so good and it evens helps to freshen your breath. The perfect two in one chapstick/gloss!
5. VIntage fabrics.... actually anything vintage. I love to look for old things that I can revamp but bring back some of the good old feelings and memories. Disclaimer: I don't consider myself a very "crafty" person. Just someone who wishes I could be and then usually buys the imitation. But my latest "vintage" find would be some fabric from my grandma's that I LOVE. I have made a quilt for Thomas, a bag for myself and a skirt completely from some incredible fabrics that I scrounged up in her never ending project room. HELLO....and to think she was going to give it to DI.
OK well that is all- I seriously could have listed 20 more off the top of my head but I think it is best to limit it to five for the night.

ROCKY V
Over the last 6 months Daniel has been coaching the young mens team for our ward and the Elders Quorum team, playing for the Elders Quorum team, playing inter-murals and a competitive team on campus, playing in a few tournaments and of course any pick up game that comes around. He LOVES ball and a lot of his life is consumed playing the game or watching it being played. Here is a picture of a black eye that he got a few weeks ago playing the game. He liked acting like he was ROCKY and he would call me Adriane. I think he felt pretty tough with that shiner.
Right after he got hit in the eye I asked him if he was going to play in his game the next night and he looked at me like....DUH.... why wouldn't I?! I probably answered with a cheeky remark and left it at that. But I think that when he got hit a few weeks later and got a concussion he realized it was time to take it easy (at least for the weekend)
I love watching him play and am really glad that he hasn't had more serious injuries.....knock on wood!
ATTITUDE
nice try mom... he doesn't agree with what you tried to say
I say something to him.... he stops to listen
now the anger sets in
still grumpy
getting grumpy while eating breakfast
*THe signs of a true fit.... I accidentally posted these pictures in the wrong order (and am to lazy to fix it) so just picture them the other way around! We love the little stink especially with his attitude and silly faces and can't wait until words come with his fits!
