Table Rock

I thought that I was about to die at this part, it is a good thing Daniel was behind me or I might of snuck off into the bushes without them noticing.

I have never hiked all of table rock (my family made it part way before a lightening storm hit) I know that it is such a famous hike around here but I must just be out of the loop until NOW! Daniel, his dad, Rob Johnson, and I hiked up the face and then down huckleberry canyon yesterday and it was so much fun. Thanks guys for taking me and helping/motivating me all the way to the top. Once we got to the top a lady came up right behind us that was 79 years old! I told her she was such an example and Daniel made fun of me and said that was such a "relief society" thing to say! It probably was but I still thought that was awesome, even if they kept telling us over and over! Even if I can't move today and I so glad that I did it!

On Thursday a few of my good friends from high school and I decided to get together for lunch and some fun in the sun at the park. This is a picture of us in front of Applebees. We graduated five years ago and even though it isn't that long ago when I look back a lot has happened to all of us to make us the people that we are today. Some have served missions, some have gotten married, some have graduated from college, some have children, some have full time jobs, life has happened to all of us and we have gone in different directions, but I think all of us no matter what has changed in our lives had a fun time getting back together. All of these girls have been such good friends and have been really special to me in my life. They are such great friends that I have laughed with, cried with and learned a lot with. THANKS SO MUCH GIRLS... we really need to do it more often.

To me Rexburg has been the place that I have lived all of my life (except for two months in Hawaii) I love it here especially the summers. There is just a relaxed feeling about being in a small town in the summer that I love. No time lines, no "stress" and no worries. Just sun, water, family, friends, treats and fun!

Graduation

Daniel and I were able to graduate with our Bachelor's degrees on Thursday July 23. We graduated together with 39 other couples! Daniel graduated in Communications with an Emphasis in Advertising and he was on the fast grad track and so he did it in only 3 years. I graduated with my degree in University Studies, and although it seemed like I was in school forever I am so glad that I was able to finish. We went to the dinner banquet then the commencement where Bishop Edgely spoke and then our convocation. I walked with Daniel in the Communications department and carried THomas across the stage with me. When he first saw me he got really scared because of my cap and gown and he started to cry but then as soon as Eva gave him a salt water taffy he cheered right up. It was such a great day, one that means a lot to Daniel and I and it was even more special to share it together. We have both spent a lot of effort and time with our studies at BYU-I. We have learned a lot here and not just about secular things. We have grown and become the people that we are today and will forever hold it in a special place in our hearts. Now that our undergrad is done...it is on to the next step. We are really excited about what our future holds for us, even if we don't know what that is right now.

Jenn and Chads Wedding

For the second time in June we headed to California, only this time it was for Jenn and Chad's wedding. We left Thursday morning and drove half way and stopped in the GREAT Battle Mountain to stay the night. I don't know if anyone has ever stopped there but it was quite the place. We laughed really hard because the "graffiti" on the slides at the park said, "if you read Twilight sighn here" and "team Edward is better than team Jacob" and ryan is so nice" Normally graffiti is crude and vulgar, but not in battle mountain. We also went to a firework store and there were two old (ancient) men sitting there in the back corner underneath a horse head, a cow head, and a freaky cat. It looked like they had done there own taxidermy to save their favorite pets and it was so creepy. I also felt like I had an itching disease after we left the hotel.... You just never know!
Friday we woke up and drove the rest of the way to Shingle Springs California. Thanks Hanna for entertaining Thomas the whole way you were a life saver. We had a BBQ that night with all of Chad's family at his parents house. We swam in the pool and just relaxed and enjoyed being out of the car. Then we drove to Roseville to stay with Devin, Ashley and Brayden. It was so fun seeing Brayden for the first time and being able to talk with those guys again. Thanks for letting us stay with you and helping us get around.
The next morning we woke up and went to the fountains with them and to a great chinese restaurant. Then we headed over to the temple for the Wedding, which was absolutely wonderful (besides the 109 degree weather, yikes we aren't used to that kind of heat) I am just glad that I was able to get in since I forgot my recommend (even though Daniel reminded me at least 50 times) Their reception was beautiful and we are so glad that Chad is part of the family. During the reception we got back on the road to head to Reno for the night.
On Sunday we woke up and headed home. Thomas did such a great job on the car ride home he didn't cry until we had about an hour left and then he'd had it. It was such a fun trip even though is was very hot, Thomas didn't sleep at night, and we drove A LOT in just a few short days.
