Today is a day to celebrate.
We actually think of something most days to celebrate.
We just really like a reason to party.
But, back to the reason we are celebrating today....
LEWIS is SIX MONTHS
I just love love love him. I am not sure if there is another way to state how happy I am to be his mother. Right now I am holding him in my arms as he sleeps.
He just got out of the bath and smells SO sweet.
He is tickling my neck, just to make sure that I am still here.
He is sucking his lips as if he is sucking on his binky, although it has fallen and gotten lost in his blanket.
His hair looks strawberry blond in the light shining through the window. I hope it stays that way.
He is sitting up.
He is eating rice cereal. He loves it. He doesn't like anything else yet.
He smiles and it lights up my life. It isn't just with his mouth it is in his eyes and with his spirit.
He tickles everything. I can here him scratching the walls when he is supposed to be sleeping.
He yells at you when you take something away from him.
He melts into my arms when he snuggles.
He loves to sleep by me. I would love it more if it meant I was sleeping better.
He giggles when you "eat him like corn"
He grabs my face in both of his hands and kisses me.
He loves Thomas and watches his every move.
He loves when Thomas plays "boo" with him.
He loves when Daniel plays the guitar and sings. He just stops what he is doing and listens.
He loves phones, computers and remotes. It must be all of the buttons.
He has big dark blue grey eyes.
He has no teeth but drools as if they are on the way.
He loves to bathe.
He has a birthmark on his right ankle.
He says "dadadada" Daniel loves it.
He brings an amazing joyful spirit into our home.
When I think of how quickly these past six months have gone I can't help but think of how quickly the next 18 years will be.
That is why I am just enjoying now and celebrating him today.
HAPPY HAPPY DAY LEWIS DEAR.
I love you more everyday.
