Just an update

We will soon be without the Internet and I thought a quick update was in order. We have officially moved physically. Yet, none of us seem to grasp to concept emotionally yet. Monday June 4 two men came to pack up all of our belongings. One of them men thought our last name was Backer. He wrote it on all of the boxes. I hope we get all of our stuff, for it has been dearly missed. It only took them a few hours to do everything, but put our stuff in giant boxes making us look as if we own a lot more than we do. Thomaswon a pink stuffed duck from the claw and named it Calloway after the restaurant we ate at that night. Lew loved dinner so much that he kept kissing me and swaying back and forth. Silly boy. He is a lovers of love and food. Tuesday morning while Big D was taking a bath (remember no shower curtain) two big brawny men showed up and loaded our stuff into a huge orange semi in a few hours. Then Daniel and I cleaned up and we were able to say goodbye to Logan and all of our dear friends by one in the afternoon. We spent the next few days playing with all of our fun family members. We barbecued, went to the splash park, visited with grandparents, went to the cabin, got sno shacks, mill hollow, fongs, saw cousins, watched basketball, played ticket, rode on the carousel, went to the arcade, and celebrated a birthday with the best cinnamon rolls ever. It was fun filled and packed with all the people we love. Some tears were shed as we drove away from those people we love and cherish so much. But, we tried to say see you later instead of goodbye. We hate goodbyes. Saturday we drove to Salt Lake ate dinner at a yummy waffle place and stayed the night in a hotel. The first of many to come. Sunday we woke up at the crack of dawn and began our day of flying. The boys did amazing. Seriously right when I thought they were going to loose it they were able to fall asleep and rest their little weary heads. They loved the flights and riding the moving walkways at the airport. We made it to Erie and went swimming right away. Thomas started going under water for a few seconds at a time. What progression! As we went to bed that night we felt so excited for the week. Getting settled in and making this place home. The next morning we woke with excitement that slowly faded through the day as we learned we might be like this for longer than hoped for. We now feel as if we are on an extremely chaotic and prolonged vacation that none of us want to be on. We just want to be on a schedule again. One that doesn't involve 15 min power naps in the car. Or one that doesn't involve eating fast food for every meal. And, especially one that doesn't involve Big D and I sleeping in separate beds. Sadie with Rolly Polly Lew. Daniel with snoring Thomas. It has been 1 1/2 weeks of living out of the few suitcases we were able to fly out here with and let's just say Thomas put on his last clean pair of underwear last night. I'd like to say we are holding out for the movers to bring "our stuff" in time but, it looks like worse case scenario... They won't be here until possibly Monday. And, Thomas just woke up because he wet the bed. All I can do is laugh. I am not ready to take that on yet. in between all of the fits and chaos the boys have loved swimming at the hotels and finding new parks to play at...even if it is raining. The rain here is lovely. Warm and misty. Daniel is loving his job and is being a positive rock through all of this. I asked him if he was nervous the first day and he said "no nerves, I've been waiting for this for 10 years." Hopefully our chaotic start here in Erie isn't a bad omen and we can soon figure things out and begin to just enjoy our time here. We met a lady last night that lived a hotel for three weeks with three kids waiting to move in. We are going on day four. Hopefully it isn't too much longer.

I remember leaving all I knew and loves. I remember the tears and oh...I remember the heartache. But home is where your family is and you will do just find. And, you really are closer to me than you have been in years...keep that in mind! Good luck on your exciting journey!
much love
