Glamorous

I had a conversation the other day with a lady.
She is expecting as well and she mentioned that nobody tells you the truth about being pregnant.  They just say it is all worth it.
That got me thinking and here is the honest truth about being pregnant. * Note * this post is not for the faint of heart.

(Sadie approximately 7 months pregnant with Thomas)

Being pregnant is not glamorous.
Being pregnant means your emotions aren't stable.  (Daniel always says, "I don't know if that was you or the pregnancy but you are in a bad mood)
Being pregnant means that you are most likely going to be physically nauseous more then you ever have before.  You will want to curl up in a ball and hibernate for three months.
Being pregnant means that your tastes change.
Being pregnant means growing pains and body aches.
Being pregnant means heartburn no matter what foods you eat.
Being pregnant means having the bladder of a newborn baby....  slightly uncontrollable.
Being pregnant means sleepless nights.  Not only do you have to use the restroom every 30 minutes but every time that you roll over it takes so much effort that you wake up.
Being pregnant means producing more spit then you normally do and in return choking on it in the middle of the night causing you to run to the restroom for fear that your bladder wont hold out on you.
Being pregnant means growing out of all clothes.  Even maternity clothes.  You will grow and change everyday.  Welcoming stretch marks.
Being pregnant  means swelling of the hands, feet, ankles (also known as cankles) face, nose and even tongue.  Seriously with Thomas I had a lisp in the morning because my tongue got too big for my mouth.
Being pregnant means carpal tunnel.  Achy wrists that in some cases lead to no feeling in your hands.
Being pregnant means you can't even tie up your own shoes and your son has to pick up all things dropped on the floor.  Otherwise they will stay there.
Being pregnant means waddling like a duck and standing with your hands on your lower back for support.  Also known as the pregnant stance.  (reference picture above)
Being pregnant means learning more about your body then you ever thought you wanted to know.  And allowing a lot of other people the pleasure of learning all about your body as well.
Being pregnant is not glamorous.  But...
Being pregnant is so worth it.  Just like everyone says.
Being pregnant is a MIRACLE.  Simple as that.  A MIRACLE.
Being pregnant means SACRIFICING comfort and self for the LOVE of someone else.
Being pregnant is a DIVINE calling that only women get to experience and understand.
Being pregnant is not glamorous, but I LOVE being a part of this MIRACLE and that makes it all worth it.

Pregnancy is a major sacrifice, but oh so worth it! Hang in there. You're almost done. Can't wait to see the little guy!

I LOVE this post. Every single word of it. The little babies really are a miracle and all the kankles and stretch marks are totally worth it.

I think you look cute in your picture. Remember when you were 9 months pregnant with Thomas and your skirt blew up in the wind and James was right behind you. I wish we had a picture of that. I'm so excited to see you soon.
