Dear November.
Today was the first.
You were oh so good to us.
Thank you!
We played outside for hours and hours and didn't freeze.
We actually took off our jackets and basked in the sunlight.
We jumped in a few puddles and made footprints after.
We went down the slides and made new friends.
We ran up and down some hills and away from some dogs. Even with a leash dogs can be intimidating when they are your own size.
We snuck into the halloween candy and ate carmel apples.
and then.... I fell in love with this video today.
The pictures of the kids with marshmallows are perfect.
So is this quote.
"Patience means staying with something until the end. It means delaying immediate gratification for future blessings. The work of patience boils down to this. Keep the commandments. Trust in God our Heavenly Father. Serve him with meekness and Chrislike love. Exercise faith and hope in the Savior and never give up."
-Dieter F. Uchtdorf
Today I will be more patient with my children and fully enjoy this season of my life.
Because of days like today, November first.
It was oh so good.
