Thomas got a toddler bed this morning.
Right now we are experiencing our first nap time.
It is an experience to say the least.
It has been going on for the last hour.
I expected this.
I also expected him to get out of the bed over and over again.
I just didn't expect it to be so hilarious.
Shouldn't I be really upset and frustrated?
Well I'm not.
How can I be when he danced around all morning because he was so excited for his new bed. I just love how he has his arms up on the headboard. He is totally chilling.
How can I be when he sneaks out of his bed and into my bedroom 5 times, peeks his head up over the bed, waves and says, "HI MOM" like he just accomplished a huge feat.
How can I be mad when he realized that if he comes into my room that I take him and put him right back in the bed.... so he has started sneaking out into the living room. After 6 attempts I just found him like this.
Sweet dreams my little one. May bedtime bring us more laughs or success. I will take either.

Sunshine
Dear Sunshine...
We invite you to stay and warm up our hearts for a very long time.
Our walks to visit the ducks are much more fun when you are around.
When we blow bubbles I promise that we will let you pop some.
Hopefully you can even help to give our fair skin a little color.
We promise that if you stay out that we will not take you for granted. We will take full advantage of all you have to offer.
xoxo- Sadie and Tommy

Logan Utah
Daniel got accepted to Utah State's HR Masters Program (MSHR).
He will be accepting and we will be moving to Logan Utah the first of June.
We are SO EXCITED to have a plan... we haven't had one for a little while.
We have been looking for housing, looking for doctors, talking to financial aid, trying to think of everything that needs to be taken care of. These things can all become very overwhelming, if you let them.
Tonight I was letting these things get to me. I was doing the dishes and started thinking about who I should have watch Thomas when I go to the hospital to have the baby. A minor detail that will work out in the scheme of things, but a detail none the less.
As I was thinking of every situation that could happen I heard Daniel tell Thomas about the night he fell in love with me as they ate cheese and crackers. He told Thomas that he was playing his guitar around the fire and I placed my hand on his leg. He told Thomas that he must have been in heaven cheering us on so that we could all be a family some day.
All the sudden the little details didn't really matter because I knew that no matter what apartment we live in and no matter how big our loan is going to be I will still get to laugh with these two men everyday.... and that is what matters.

For the Record
(Daniel on his first day of work... looking forward to his BRIGHT future)
Over the intercom we heard the man say, "On an orange shelf in the front of the store we have placed some items. Each item is on sale for 10 cents apiece."
Moments later Daniel disappeared with Thomas in the cart.
I found them at the orange shelf.
We came home with......
*no salt added BLUE CHIPS that expired the first of February
*an ISABELLE CUTE KITTEN toy
*a container of WASABI PEAS
*INSTANT HAND SANITIZING SPRAY with aloe that is leaking
*2 MOUSE TRAPS
*HAIRBALL REMEDY... for cats, kittens and rabbits (we own none of the before mentioned animals)
*my personal favorite.... an opened box of CORRECTED The Woman's Gentle Laxative
FOR THE RECORD... I am NOT the impulsive shopper in our relationship. No matter what anyone tells you.

HONOR
In honor of Daniel (he requested that I post more often) I am writing a post.
I don't feel inspired to write about anything in particular and so I looked back through some old pictures and found these.....

(Hawaii 2006)
I thought that these were good pictures to post in honor of the man I am posting for. (Did that make any sense?) Daniel and I dated before... during... and after my trip to Hawaii. While I was there I spent time with him on the phone and learned to love him for who he was.... not just because I thought he was so handsome.
Some things that I learned through our conversations....
- he was very devoted to me and would wait up until all hours of the night to call when I got home from work. Hawaii is four hours behind Rexburg.... I think!
- he can get jealous
- he is very forgiving and understanding
- he is hilarious
- he is determined
- he could answer any question that I had while reading my scriptures that day
- he has a very romantic voice
- he became my best friend and I couldn't wait for the weekly phone calls. I knew this when his phone broke and only texted numbers... and I wanted to know what he had to say so badly that I would take the time to decipher each text. Ask my roommates it is true. It didn't take long before I didn't have to write all the numbers down, I could just read it as if we all write in numbers.
**I am off to celebrate with my little sister. She is turning 19 and we are so excited! HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANNA or NANNA she will respond to either! We LOVE LOVE LOVE you!

KISS ME I'm IRISH... and some NEWS
HAPPY GREEN DAY from the Irish at heart....
I meant to post this last night... I had many intentions yesterday. Such as making some of Daniel's favorite irish meals. He was feeling extra sentimental to "his" country and a fry up and some curry fries would of made him so happy.... But I didn't get any of that done. We ate spaghetti instead. I also had a great idea to GO GREEN on St. Patrick's day... but I didn't do anything to help the earth yesterday either. Here's to great intentions and a great day spent outside.
On a different note.....
Thomas is going to be a big brother to a.....
BOY!
I am 20 weeks along and due August 5th. We are really excited to have another boy join the family. Today in honor of all the men that are in my life and will be in my life.... I will paint my nails or maybe just wear a dress or something girly... just to remember who I really am.
note: thanks for all of your comments on my last post they were perfect! I knew I could count on you.

My Thing
Last night Daniel surprised me by renting Julie and Julia.
I LOVE THE MOVIE. It was a great surprise.
As we watched the movie (together... yes, Daniel watched the whole thing) I was thinking about how both women worked hard, loved their husbands and their lives in general. They just didn't feel complete until they found their "thing". Their "things" just happened to both involve cooking food and eating it. These women were brought together by a common interest and each used their "thing" to inspire women and change their lives.
Watching the movie I realized that I don't have a "thing".....
Sure I have Thomas and I love spending all day playing with and teaching him, I have Daniel that makes me laugh really hard, I like cooking and eating food, I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and I like beautiful things. I just don't have a "thing" for me. A "thing" that I am passionate about. A "thing" that I can use to inspire others, particularly women, to be their best self.
Like my Cousin Camille who has her own quilting business (she is insanely talented with amazing tastes) and just wrote her own book. Like Julie and Julia who loved cooking and eating and in a small way have made life better for a lot of women because they were good women just trying their best. Like my good friend Michelle who has so much faith and strength (plus she is always beautiful and ready to take on the day). Like my sister in laws that run marathons and do triathlons (after having 9 kids between the two of them). Like photography, pottery, jewelry making, cutting hair, dancing, laughing, painting, crafting.....Like so many women that I associate with each day that raise families, love their lives, and inspire me to be better.
Do you women have a thing that makes you better? A thing that keeps you sane? A thing that is yours? A talent that you use to bring in some money? Does it make me selfish to want a thing for myself?
Thoughts and feelings are appreciated.... help me on my journey to find my thing!
