LEMONADE FOR SALE

Thomas has been intrigued with the idea of a lemonade stand for awhile.
We woke up one morning to the sun shining and knew it was the perfect day.
We decided to make cookies with our lemonade.
Chocolate chip and Sugar are favorites around here.
The boys put on their aprons and helped the whole time.
We listened to Foo Fighters and Dixie Chicks.  Quite the combination I know!  The dancing turned into wrestling which turned into aprons and clothes being thrown into a pile.... Don't ask!  Everything in our house turns into a giant wrestling match.
We made signs.
We frosted the cookies.  Lew was in charge of the sprinkles.
We made the lemonade.  
We gathered supplies.
We invited a friend to help.
Set up the stand and began our afternoon!
It started out a little slow and was somewhat discouraging.
Lew became our official "waver"  it is the cutest thing to see him wave.  He gets really really into it!
They took their jobs very seriously and suddenly business was booming!
We had to make more lemonade.  We sold almost all of the cookies.
We rode bikes and danced on the big rock.
We made new friends and I think had a very successful afternoon.
Really we were all a little shocked with how much money they were able to make.
It was enough to go to the store and buy new ninja turtle toys.  If that isn't success then I don't know what is! Especially to a 6 and 3 year old.
We talked about how a little hard work and planning can really pay off.  A good life lesson I think!  Something we hope to instill in their hearts and minds.
