The next few days were spent in Utah. Thomas felt so big riding down in the car with Aunt Jenn, Uncle Brady, Holland and Gray. Lew was lucky enough to come with his mom, Grandpa Tom and GrandMary. We were able to stop in SLC and visit with Cara and sweet sweet Edie. Definitely an experience you can't forget. They are the toughest of the tough.
While in Utah we crammed in as much fun as we could! We went to the new Children's Museum at Thanksgiving Point. There was so much to do and look at the boys were in heaven. They splashed in water. Hung on rope ladders for a whole minute! Climbed up rock walls, Lew with just his upper body.... this kid is a beast! They made crafts. Danced their hearts out. Played with giant legos. Dressed up as clowns and pirates. Splashed at the splash pad. They did it all and would have done more if we had more time!
We got to go to the Provo Rec center again.... our favorite! The boys love love love going down the big slides. They loved floating around the lazy river and climbing all over the kids play places. We are lucky to have lots of fun helpers when we go so we can do it all over and over again. I don't know who gets worn out sooner?! The weather was SO hot for us in Utah. Reaching up into the 100 degree temperatures everyday. We thought we would melt. Going to the pool was the perfect thing to keep us nice and cool! Lewis has a wild side and he wants to go down the water slides all by himself. For two years in a row he hasn't been tall enough... it is very heartbreaking to see him try to be brave but slowly big crocodile tears slip out. It is hard only being 3.
We were either crazy or brave... I am going with Crazy... to take a red eye flight home to Erie. I was getting really nervous for it. The boys are champs and super great at flying. I was worried about me. It went extremely well. The boys slept on both flights and we were able to eat some breakfast during our layover in Atlanta. A $30 breakfast of cupcakes. That is the only sore subject about the whole process. Here the champions are with the pilots of our first flight. They felt so special even with those sleepy eyes.
We had so much fun on our stay in Idaho and Utah. We have such loving and caring families that did so much to make this trip possible for us. We feel truly grateful to have these opportunities each year. We miss you all dearly. We are still talking about all of our favorite memories of our time with you all. xoxXOX
